TestAS stands for Test für Ausländische Studierende, which translates to Test for Foreign Students in English. It is a centrally administered, standardized test planned to assess the academic skills needed to succeed in university studies in Germany.

You might also see it mentioned as the Test for Academic Studies. This is simply an alternative name for the same exam.

Many German universities, including some of the most prestigious institutions in the world, accept TestAS marks as part of their admissions process for international students.
